Alien Blockade will be familiar to fans of the arcade game "Qix". The object
is to trap the alien in a small portion of the screen.
You begin with a border around the whole screen, around which you can move a
small cursor. Drawing lines from one section of the boarder to another will
divide the playing area into two sections. The smallest of these is filled
in with part of a picture, altering the shape of the border and reducing
the area the alein has to roam about.
To complete each level you'll have to keep drawing lines until the playing
area is reduced to such a small size that the alien can't move very far.
If the alien hits you or touches the line you drawing, you'll lose one of
your three lives. At the bottom of the screen is a timer and when this
runs out you'll lose another life.
The game becomes even tougher on the later levels when in addition to the
alien there are "Tracers" which move along the boarder of the playing area.
If they catch you another life goes down the drain.
The game is joystick controlled and pressing the fire button while moving
will draw a line. If you manage to trap the alien or one of the tracers in
the smaller area, you'll be awarded bonus points and the baddle will be
transfered to the remaining area.
Should you manage to reach 10,000 points you'll be awarded an extra life.
